“Open the door…it may lead you some place you never expected.” – unknown
These are the iconic wooden beach huts in Brighton Beach in Melbourne, Australia. They are 82 brightly coloured houses dating back to the early 1900s.
One of the more famous of the bathing houses is this one painted with the Australian flag (of course). People, especially tourists, queue up just to take a photograph with this particular one.
I have posted this on my previous blog, but not being able to go out to take photographs of doors, I decided to re post this one. This is for Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge- Beach Boxes

These are so colourful. So much fun to look at. Thanks for the smiles today 🙂

Colorful boxes! I bet there’s a lot of people spending more time inside these boxes than in the beach ahah all the best, PedroL

They are owned by private people so the public can’t use it.

Really colourful. My husband’s parents had one of these back in the 60s and 70s but you don’t see them here much anymore. That’s how we met in our teens, he was staying there with some friends.

I love them! Here in England we call them beach huts. I’m just back from a short visit to Whitstable in Kent where there are loads, so you’ve given me an idea for a future blog – thank you 🙂

Nice to have given you an idea. Sometimes it is hard to find inspiration.

I have the opposite problem – too many ideas and too little time!
