Doors in Heidelberg

“Germany, in the summer, is the perfection of the beautiful.” – Mark Twain

In 2016, during our European tour, we passed by Heidelberg, home of the oldest university in Germany. We weren’t there for long but even at first glance you will already notice the charm of the town. No wonder it is known as one of the most romantic cities in Germany.

We had a wonderful stroll in the city centre seeing such iconic architectures like the Old Town, the Gateway to the Old Bridge, the Heidelberg Palace, etc.

But what was more enjoyable was walking on the various laneways and seeing the many doors of the colourful town. This is for Norm’s Thursday Doors Challenge – Doors in Heidelberg
