“Winter is not a season, it’s a celebration.” – Anamika Mishra
I have been racking my brain to think of what to post for the topic of Winter. As you may already know, I live in Melbourne and winter is nothing out of the ordinary for me. Yes, it is cold but we don’t get snow except in the mountains.
So I though of a time when I really felt cold … when I was wearing snow boots but my feet were still icy … when I was like a child excited seeing all the Christmas markets… having my favourite roasted chestnuts… that was a wintry feeling… and that was in November of 2018 when my husband and I went to Budapest and then to London. It wasn’t really winter yet but it was just a week or so away. What a delight to experience the merriment of the season, even for a 60 year old woman like me.
I know everybody will be posting amazing photos of snow, I will get jealous a tiny bit…but not for long because I am not really into very cold weather. I love Melbourne weather, tho it is known for having the crazy “four seasons in one day”.
It was wintry cold and wet when we went to London Hyde Park and a Cadbury Hot Chocolate is the way to go.
