I love colour as you can see in my past posts…the brighter the better. Here are some of the places I’ve been to that are so brilliantly coloured that you may think they are just photoshopped. But they are real alright.
Burano is a fisherman’s island with the most colourful houses in Italy. This Venetian island is known for its brightly coloured and photogenic buildings. According to a local, legend says that they were painted to distinguish between houses during fog season.

In Venice, while cruising on a gondola. Not as colourful as Burano, but this is Italy, so the old buildings are still painted brightly and the bricks’s texture are so alive.

The colour of the buildings and apartments in Budapest made my day bright and cheery though it was such a rainy day.

I believe that they coloured the buildings brightly in these London towns so as to make their days brighter, as it is believed that London is a very gloomy place. Do you think so? Neil’s Yard Covent Gardens and near Camden Market.

Szentendre is a small country town in Hungary with a lot of shops that are very colourful and picturesque. It is lovely how it has preserved its ancient look.
