Oranges & Greens in Squares

“Color! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.” – Paul Gauguin

Colour is a language and artists use colour to express moods instead of words. I decided to challenge myself and look for images that had both colours in one shot…so here they are.

KindaSquare #21 – Oranges & Greens in Squares

CFFC

Orange and green from places in Poitiers, Montserrat, Budapest and Pat’s photo of Venice

Murals around Melbourne

Green and orange food from cafes, restaurants and homemade wraps.

Some random greens and oranges- on the streets of NY photo sent to me by my daughter, Pat when she was there last year; in the market of Mornington, Australia; a colourful bird that visited me on my backyard.

And lastly oranges and greens in nature.

I love the birds’ photos best and the close-up shot of the flower. But they are all lovely.

Lovely photos but I especially like the old tram at the beginning which were in regular use all over Melbourne during my original 6 months stay there.

Oh wow, when was that? You stayed here for 6 months, so how did you find it?

That was back in 1989. Since then I have visited twice more recently (last year & 4 years ago). I really liked it during my first longer stay and wished I could have stayed even longer at that time.

It’s good that you liked it. I wasn’t living there yet at that time. We moved to Melbourne from the Philippines in 1991 when my son was only 1 year old.
