The Pink Trees

“Shower your soul with sunshine and smiles, and your heart will blossom with love for miles and miles.” – Melanie Miushigian Koulouris

This is a Cedrela sinensis or Chinese Cedar. This is a narrow, upright shaped tree with stunning bright pink spring foliage. The leaves then matures to soft green. I saw this tree on the side of the road when my husband and I went to Sassafras, Victoria for a great afternoon drive.

Thursday Tree Love

We went down to take a bit of photos and saw this nursery right near where it is. So guess what, we bought a seedling. Hopefully we can get our green thumbs working! And that was just last week when it was pink and this photo is right now…and it turned green!

I’m not always a fan of pink, but this is lovely mixed with gold. The shape of the tree makes them good as a screen along or “fence” or any place for something to stand out and be unique. Thanks for the introduction to the Chinese cedar. Hmmm. I wonder if it smells like cedar.

Sorry but I am not familiar with the smell of cedar so I really can’t tell. Thanks for your comment JoAnna 💛

I think it doesn’t stay pink for long. I just to have to wait and see how my plant goes.
