“Everywhere you walk, every place you go is full of art, explicit or hidden! If you can see them, you will be the richest art collector and your memory will be the richest art gallery!” – Mehmet Murat ildan
The National Gallery of Victoria or popularly known as NGV is an art museum in the heart of Melbourne. It is still closed to the public at the moment due to the pandemic and is due to open its doors again in December 2020.
Here is a 14 metre long sculptural installation called “Eternity Buddha in Nirvana” by Chinese artist Xu Zhen. This was an exhibit in January 2018 depicting the Greek gods and heroes with Buddha.

Also exhibited around the same time was a large installation called ‘Mass’. It is the work of an Australian artist, Ron Mueck, which is a take on mortality featuring 100 individual hand-cast skulls.

The following two images shows you the grand scale of the art installations.
