… UP the UooUoo Trail!
(Part 1 of the Series)
Launched on 20 January up until 21 March 2021, hundreds of UooUoo sculptures will be dotting the streets, laneways and iconic public places of Melbourne and Geelong. A UooUoo (pronounced you-you) is an imaginary creature that is somewhat shaped like a wombat.
Entitled Me and UooUoo: The RCH Anniversary Art Trail… these colourful sculptures are all uniquely designed by talented Australian artists. After the event finishes and have entertained children and adults alike, these sculptures will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Follow me to the walking trails of the UooUoos?

I like these. There are similar installations in other towns. I happen to visit Birmingham when there were owls. In Wiesbaden they had lions, in Kaiserslautern they had fish. But UooUoos seem to be really unique but shaped like wombats?!

This is really cute. We had a few years back some elephants then pianos. But I would really love to see those owls in your town because I love owls! Thanks for the comment!

These are fun and creative. They remind me of the Cow Parade which we toured in New York many years ago. These guys might be a little cuter.
