“I love walking down the street and seeing faces and drama and happiness and sadness and dirt and cleanliness.” – Ric Ocasek
Chapel Street, Melbourne is known for its retail outlets, restaurants and cafes. It also is well known for its different types of artistic endeavours like public murals and sculptures. But for this week I went UP and down the street and saw some beautifully painted DOORS of Traffic signal boxes and other kinds of SQUARE DOOR covering.

I thought so too. I just wonder who did the artwork…there are no names on it.

Very colourful! We have some of these boxes near us and I’ve often thought it would be nice if someone were to paint them as I have seen done elsewhere

Maybe you can paint one yourself haha

You’ve clearly never seen my attempts at art 😆 I’ll stick to photography for my artistic creativity, I think!

Trust Chapel Street to have such creative utility boxes. They’re amazing. It’s been years since I’ve been to Melbourne and I’ve only been to Chapel Street once as a uni student back in 1991. That was awhile ago now and in so many, many ways!
I from Sydney, by the way.
This week, I’ve photographed the door to the dance studio my daughter’s attended since she was three turning four, around 11 years ago. We’ve just fired up for another year: https://beyondtheflow.wordpress.com/2021/01/29/thursday-doors-back-to-dance-2021/
Best wishes,

Congratulations to some proud moments as a mother. And such memorable doors as you enter and as your daughter enters into her own world as a dancer. Thanks for the comment Rowena. And good luck to future dancing years.
