Some photos sent to me by Tim from his walk. Thanks son ❤️ For Marsha’s Photographing Public Art Challenge
This is a mural by Street Artist WOSKerski in Shoreditch, London, UK. This is a tribute of WOSKerski to the brave people of Ukraine… with the hope that in his own little way he can help in stopping the madness!

The Connectivity Matters Mural, the first collaboration of London based artist Hunto with Mr Thoms. They did the theme to their own respective styles… Hunto’s Picssso like portraits and Mr Thorns surrealist approach.

Thierry Noir was one of the forerunners of street art in his native Berlin, using the wall as his canvas. This piece is in Shoreditch

Here are some colourful doors also found in Shoreditch. For Dan’s Thursday Doors Challenge

This was the perfect post for me to see this morning, Teresa. You’d have no way of knowing, but it has been raging in for two days, and it is wet and dark and dreary. Seeing these lovely bright colors makes me smile. I do believe art helps in times of crisis. People have no choice but to stop and think when they see that mural Thanks for including it here today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

These murals and doors are such bright works of art. I love every one of them. They are all so unique. The picture of the girl looks almost like a photograph. It’s amazing especially when you think that they are painting with their arms up all the time instead of a resting position like we would use when we write. On top of that, they are painting on the rough surface of the rough brick. Can you imagine painting those lines in her hair and not being thrown off just a little by the rough brick? And if he’s using a spray can, even harder to make such tiny lines look so perfect. Fabulous!

I agree, can’t imagine how these artists can do such a large scale mural from a small photo or from imagination. If it was me haha

I can imagine doing something using a scale model. I did a project with my fourth graders in which we recreated a map of California on the floor. Each child had a small piece of a map, and they had to find where their piece went on the grid and draw it in. Eventually they painted and labeled it. They did a fabulous job, and the next year, the school put carpet on top of it. 🙂

Yeah that’s it, having a grid would help but still hard!

For artists it’s probably second nature, but for fourth graders, it was amazing to me that it came out! BTW, I saw someone on the news that looked a little bit like the girl in the mural without the worry. I love that picture. It is engraved in my mind.
