Christmas in July

“Keep your Christmas-heart open all the year round.” ~ J.L.W. Brooks

We went to Sassafras yesterday to enjoy the sunshine. I guess a lot of people had the same idea because it was so busy! It was “Christmas in July“ up here in the Dandenong Ranges and many cafes and restaurants were celebrating it.

For Ludwig’s Monday Windows Challenge… Christmas Window Displays in July I think Ludwig and I are both enjoying window displays nowadays!

Window decor at the famous scones and waffle cafe called Miss Marples Tea Room

Beside is Tea Leaves …. The crazy tea pot shop.

And in that same shop is this Alice in Wonderland Tea Party mural on the side wall beside the shop windows.

Delightful. I can’t top these, but I will take a look and see what I can come up with.

I’ve always found it hard to get my head around the fact that ‘down under’ you celebrate Christmas in the summer – but now you tell me you celebrate it in July!!

No, the July celebration is just a commercial gimmick mostly for retail. We just want to have the Christmas feels when the time is cold.

But yes, we celebrate Christmas with our shorts and singlet on haha

I’ve always been a firm believer when saying it’s never too early for Christmas, so this brought a lot of joy to my heart.
