5 Wall Murals

Here are some photos of Wall Murals sent to me by my son, Tim. This is in Hackney Wick, East London, and I read that graffiti in this part of London played a crucial role in covering up decay and dilapidation.

This is a massive piece by Martin Ron with his buddy Jiant entitled Mapacho in the district of Hackney Wick, East London. This illustrates the Latin American culture.

This was designed and painted as part of the first ever London Mural Festival by Hackney Wick artist Busk. The piece was inspired by the industrial, hard-working past of the area as well as celebrating the creative individuals and businesses who represent the Hackney Wick of today.

French Street Art legend Thierry Noir painted this large-scale mural in Wallis Road, Hackney Wick.

More Wall murals below but I don’t know the story behind them.

Woe fantastic Teresa, my mum was born in Hackney and in those days it was considered to be a very poor part of London. Now though the East End is all the rage and expensive to live there.
