You’re right, 2022 has just flown by! Partly because that’s what happens as we get older but also, I reckon, because we’ve been packing in all the things we didn’t get to do in 2020 or 2021!

Yes, and there’s a plausible theory. When you are two years old a year is half a lifetime. When you are ten it’s still a tenth of a lifetime, and at twenty a twentieth. By the time you reach fifty, say, a year is only a fiftieth of a lifetime so seems much shorter in proportion to the whole of your life and consequently seems to pass more quickly.
