It has been two months since I have returned from my holiday in the Philippines and I still have a lot of leftover photos that I haven’t posted. So here are more public art for Natalie’s challenge.
Photographing Public Art Challenge – PPAC
The Trees is a modern sculpture symbolising the Circle of Life by Reynato Paz Contreras at the Burgos Circle in Bonifacio Global City in Metro Manila, Philippines.
Color me Chameleon by Rico Lascano is a 3-dimensional sculpture which has wooden blocks for skin. These blocks have different colors on each of the four sides and can be changed by turning them.
This is a clever way of leading the children and adults alike to the Mind Museum.
This here is an artistic way of having a bike parking.
Giant heart installation in Greenbelt, Makati. Not sure if this is finished or some design will still be put on it.
“Specific Gravity” by Reg Yuson is a sculpture and water feature at Bonifacio High Street. It may look like an ordinary rock but water flows out of this every so often.
“Alab ng Puso” (Fire in the Heart) is a tribute to the Filipino soldiers by sculptor Daniel de la Cruz in BGC. It is a Filipino soldier, with his weapon set aside, reading a letter from his family. Behind him is a steel panel with the words of “Lupang Hinirang”, which is the National Anthem of the Philippines.
I don’t really know what these red colour is for and what it signifies… but I think it’s looking good.

Great shots of these works at BGC and Makati.
The red colors might be for Lunar New Year if it was around that time.

Most of them are in Taguig and Makati, both cities in Metro Manila.
