On board the Eurostar

Hubby and I left early for our Eurostar train ride to Paris from the St Pancras International. Didn’t expect to get there so early giving us more time for some photo opportunities with my phone.

Didn’t know much about its history but glad it still is still standing nice and proud.

It and the hotel were slated for demolition in the 1960s but there was a successful campaign to save it, headed up by the then Poet Laureate, John Betjeman – hence his statue there, in the photo with Jack ‘goofing around’
